InterVarsity is a parachurch organization, which means that we are not sponsored by a single church, and our members attend weekly worship at a number of local churches. Our purpose is to draw from the richness and beauty of local church communities and explore what it means to live those out in the specific context of the GW campus as students. This gives a unique opportunity for students to worship across denominational and cultural lines, and to draw from the wisdom of traditions that might be different from their own. We identify as a missional movement on campus that works with local churches, but that would not be possible without healthy partnerships and participation in churches in the city.

Whenever we get to gather in person on campus again, we typically gather during the first few Sundays of the semester for our event, Find-a-Church. You'll get to hear about the different churches our members attend, and then tag along to check them out yourself. When we get back on campus, make sure to check it out!
